TREAT was originally built to manage assessments and care records for mental health and addictions treatment providers. The system has evolved to become a complete EHR solution with a strong focus on the needs and workflow of mental health service providers.

TREAT’s extensive catalogue of assessments and the design of its Care Plan and Clinical Documentation modules are tailored to Inpatient Mental Health treatment environments. And input from actual mental health practitioners have has been taken into account for the development of TREAT’s management and workflow modules (Scheduling, Workload) to reflect the specific workflow and management reporting needs of mental health organizations.

Solution Highlights

Client Registration

TREAT’s advanced Client Registration module aligns with your organization’s workflow by featuring integrated referrals and waitlists. All vital demographics, ADT (Admission/Discharge/Transfer), and billing data are collected in one simple view that can be shared and updated by multiple collaborators.

Clinical Assessment Tools

TREAT features the widest range of assessments specific to mental health and addictions treatment available on the market today. Many state mandated mental health and addictions assessments are included in TREAT’s Assessment Catalogue. TREAT also features automated submission functionality for assessment data that is required to be submitted to regulatory and governing bodies.

Clinical Documentation

TREAT’s Care Plan and Progress Notes modules are designed for a mental health care setting as they emphasize client goals, issues and interventions, and outcomes

Progress Notes can capture new client goals, issues, and progress on treatment as they happen. This information will automatically update in the client’s Care Plan. Similarly assessments may generate results that will automatically trigger issues in the client Care Plan (such as Problem Gambling indicators, or risk factors of metabolic syndrome).

Staff Scheduling

TREAT’s Scheduling module features 15-minute booking blocks, default weekly calendar views, and color coding to differentiate appointment types, reflecting the preferences of Inpatient Mental Health clinicians.

Workload Management

TREAT’s Workload module records time spent on direct, as well as indirect client care tasks such as phone consultations and referrals. It also allows clinician time to be tracked based on programs, units, and disciplines, which allows management to effectively analyze staff productivity and use quantifiable data to allocate the appropriate resources to the various programs of an Inpatient Mental Health unit.

TREAT’s reporting module allows assessment scores and results to be tracked over time; allowing client progress to be quantified and reviewed, and leading to better outcomes of care.

Acquiring real, quantifiable data for monitoring client care and outcomes is a huge challenge for Mental Health providers. The complex scoring algorithms contained in TREAT’s assessments, and the advanced capabilities of our reporting system overcome that challenge and help ease the transition to Pay-for-Performance service models.
