VitalHub Announces Rebranding and Launch of Sri Lanka Innovations Lab

VitalHub Innovations Lab creates blockchain, mobile and web-based solutions across the healthcare continuum. Previously known as “B Sharp Lanka (Pvt) Ltd,” the company has been in operation in Sri Lanka since August 2007. B Sharp Lanka was the offshore development hub of B Sharp Technologies, a Canada-based healthcare IT vendor which commenced operation in Toronto in 1998 and was acquired as a wholly-owned subsidiary of VitalHub in 2017.
Since its inception in 2007, VitalHub Innovations Lab has grown to over 35 Healthcare IT professionals, capable of building state-of-the-art healthcare application to support a vast array of digital health products across hospitals and community care settings. VitalHub plans to continue the growth and development of its innovation lab as an integral part of its strategy.
VitalHub Innovations Lab, the Sri Lanka (Colombo) office of VitalHub Corp, was officially launched in Sri Lanka on October 3, 2018, with the attendance of a number of diplomats and industry leaders, including key members from the High Commission of Canada to Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Association for Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM), and the Sri Lanka – Canada Business Council (SLCBC). Special invitees present at the event included, Avanti Coonghe – Trade Commissioner and Joumana Hanna – Executive Assistant to the High Commissioner of the High Commission of Canada to Sri Lanka; Ranil Rajapakse – Vice Chairman of SLASSCOM; Harith Jayasuriya – President of SLCBC and media personnel.
