Toronto, Ontario – April 24, 2017 –Vitalhub Corp.(“VitalHub”) (TSX VENTURE: VHI) is pleased to introduce VitalHub Engage (VH Engage), to the Canadian marketplace. William Osler Health System (Osler), one of the largest community health systems in Canada, is the first hospital to license the technology.
VH Engage is a platform that enables health care organizations to create a branded app and manage its content, while securely and effectively communicating with patients and their caregivers.
“Statistics prove that health care consumers, like all consumers, are looking for information within hospital-branded applications as opposed to traditional websites. Today, there is very limited use of apps within the Canadian hospital market”, said Dan Matlow, President & CEO, VitalHub. “We believe VitalHub is uniquely positioned to help drive app use within the Canadian health care market. VH Engage is a great first step for hospitals to get into the mobile world.”
The Osler app will provide patients with maps and locations for all outpatient clinics spread across Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital and the new Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness, and enable them to more easily navigate between the three facilities, depending on their needs.
“As mobile apps continue to increase in popularity, we recognize that the use of such technology can help our patients more easily access care and improve their overall experience while they are with us,” said Cara Francis, Regional Director, Public Relations, Central West Community Care Centre, Headwaters Health Care Centre and William Osler Health System. “We are pleased to make this new app available to patients and families and ensure our community has the information they need most, right at their fingertips.”
